Se trata de un <strong>ensayo de catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica<\/strong> del programa EMALS (<em>Electromagnetic Aviation Launch System<\/em>) por parte de la US Navy para determinar si esta tecnolog\u00eda puede jubilar a las vetustas catapultas de vapor en portaaviones. De momento las pruebas continuar\u00e1n, pero el sistema parece prometedor.
